Hutě is situated at 555 metres above sea level. The village originated in 1720 and its founder was the glassmaster Kryštof Hielep. Round (hollow) glass was produced here.
Outside Hutě there is Pařez pond. There is a natural preserve around it, called “Rybník Pařez“. Under the pond is a mill which was still in operation in 1951. The mill is renowned for the meetings of some members of Charta 77.
In this village there is an interesting stone with a cross carved into it, situated on the side of a forest drive from Hutě to Rejčkov. On the front side of the stone there is a cross with its arms extended at the ends and a head. Under a balk, there is a pike on the right, a battle ax in the centre and a sword on the left. The year 1491 is carved in the balk. In 1869 the village had 81 settlers. Now there are the most people especially during the summer. There are only 9 permanent settlers, 7 houses and 58 holiday homes.
