About Kaliště
The village of Kaliště is situated to the north-west of Humpolec on a plateau at 601 metres above sea level. From here, there is a nice view of the region of Vrchovina and central Bohemia as far as the legendary hill Blaník. The cadastral area of Kaliště is the watershed of the rivers Želivka and Sázava. In 1872 the main road from Humpolec to Ledeč nad Sázavou was constructed and it leads through the village.
